Our History
FUNDSY, the Treasure Valley’s longest standing charity, started in 1967 when a group of Idaho CEOs and executives banned together with one single purpose in mind, to help build a YMCA in downtown Boise. They named the non-profit after their mission, Funds Serving the Y – and that is how FUNDSY came to be.
In 1970 after a successful gala, its founders decided to continue and create a tradition of helping others in need. In 1972 the mission expanded to Funds Serving You with one thing in mind: to help non-profits with capital projects through brick-and-mortar projects.
Today, FUNDSY is proud of the non-profits throughout the Treasure Valley that have benefited from the work of our dedicated board members. This is where FUNDSY has stepped in to help build and improve more than 45 non-profits in the Treasure Valley, including the Anne Frank Memorial, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Cascade Lake 4-H Camp, Idaho Black History Museum, Family Advocates, Community House, Boise Art Museum, Camp Rainbow Gold and now the World Center for Birds of Prey/The Peregrine Fund.
